App Settings Overview
Overview
The Settings menu allows you to further customize your app’s:
- Navigation
- Branding
- Authentication
- Checkout
- Data sources
- Pricing
- Inventory
- Display behavior
To access:
- Go to Mobile Menu
- Select Settings
Navigation Settings
Navigation Type
Choose between:
- Fixed Tabs (bottom navigation bar)
- Burger Menu (side menu)
Best Practice: Avoid using both at the same time to prevent user confusion.
Top App Bar
Configure the appearance and functionality of the top bar.
You can:
- Enable or disable the top app bar
- Show/hide burger menu icon
- Show centered logo
- Show search icon (adjust positioning)
- Show cart icon
- Show cart count
- Show account icon
App Logos
Upload two logo versions:
- Logo for light background
- Logo for dark background
This ensures proper visibility across themes.
Fonts
Assign fonts for:
- Headings
- Body text
- Buttons
- Captions
- Prices
You can:
- Select Google Fonts
- Use system fonts
- Upload custom fonts
Authentication Settings
Control how users access your app.
Options include:
- Guest Mode (browse without login)
- Require Login
- Allow Registration
Sign-In Methods
Available login options:
- Sign in with Apple
- Sign in with Shopify
- Sign in with TNL (email + password)
You can customize:
- Button messaging
- Terms of Service shown during registration
Checkout Provider
Select your checkout integration:
- Shopify
- Stripe
- Additional integrations (as available)
These are typically configured during onboarding but can be adjusted later.
Customer Account Types
Supported Shopify account types:
- Classic Accounts
- New Customer Accounts
Note: The Shopify Headless App must be installed (handled during onboarding).
Market Pricing
Configure price handling for different markets and currencies:
- Use Shopify Market pricing
- Let TNL convert currencies automatically
Product Checks
Choose where product data is sourced:
- Shopify only
- TNL only
Collection Checks
Choose where collection data is sourced:
- Shopify
- TNL only
Inventory Checks
Select inventory source:
- Shopify only
- TNL only
- Both (Shopify as source of truth)
Stock Level Settings
Configure:
- Show stock levels
- Set low-stock threshold
- Show low-stock badges
- Customize badge labels and colors
Cache Settings
Recommended to keep default recommended settings for optimal performance.
Best Practices
- Choose one navigation type for clarity.
- Upload logos for both light and dark modes.
- Enable guest mode only if it fits your conversion strategy.
- Use Shopify as source of truth for inventory.
- Test stock badge settings before publishing.
- Leave cache settings as recommended unless advised otherwise.
The Settings menu gives you full control over your app’s structure, branding, and operational behavior.
