Set Up Live Shopping (Live Streams)
Overview
TNL allows you to host live shopping (live-streaming) events directly within your app.
During a live stream, you can:
- Showcase products
- Interact with customers via chat
- Generate real-time purchases
- Track engagement and revenue analytics
Access Live Streams
- Go to Community Menu
- Select Live Streams
- Click Create New Stream
Create a New Stream
1. Add Stream Details
Enter:
- Stream Title
- Description
- Select a Host (from dropdown)
- Optional: Upload a Thumbnail Image
2. Choose Stream Timing
You can:
- Schedule for later
- Go live immediately
You can also toggle:
- Auto-Replay (replay stream after it ends)
3. Connect Streaming Software
After creating the stream, you’ll receive:
- RTMP connection details
Use these credentials in streaming software such as:
- OBS (obsproject.com)
- Other RTMP-compatible platforms
This connects your live video feed to the app.
Manage a Live Stream
From the stream list, click View under Actions to manage details.
Add Products to Stream
- Click Add Products
- Select products from your catalog
These products can be featured and purchased during the stream.
Chat & Moderation
You can view:
- Chat messages
- Moderation log
- User interactions
Stream Analytics
Track performance metrics such as:
- Number of viewers
- Messages sent
- Reactions
- Revenue generated
- Average watch duration
- Conversion rate
- Revenue per viewer
Stream Settings
Within stream settings, you can enable:
- Chat
- Reactions
- Purchase notifications
- Auto-replay
- Slow Mode (minimum time between chat messages per user)
Slow mode helps prevent spam during high-traffic events.
Best Practices
- Add products before going live.
- Use scheduled streams to build anticipation.
- Enable chat for engagement.
- Monitor analytics to measure performance.
- Use auto-replay to extend reach after the live event.
- Promote streams in advance via push notifications.
Live Streams help create interactive shopping experiences that drive engagement and real-time conversions.
