Train Dave (AI Settings)

Overview

Dave, TNL’s AI agent, continuously learns from:

  • Customer behavior
  • Purchase history
  • App engagement
  • Loyalty activity

You can enhance Dave’s performance by providing additional company-specific context through Dave Training.


Access Dave Training

  1. Click Settings (top right menu)
  2. Select Dave Training

You’ll see multiple tabs where you can provide information.


Company Info

This is the most important section to complete.

Provide details such as:

  • Company name
  • Company description
  • Mission statement
  • Core values
  • Target audience
  • Ideal customer profile
  • Products and services
  • Unique selling points (USPs)
  • Key differentiators from competitors
  • Brand tone of voice (friendly, casual, formal, conversational, etc.)
  • Brand guidelines

The more detail you provide, the better Dave can personalize messaging and campaigns.


Company FAQs

Add answers to common customer questions, such as:

  • Shipping policies
  • Refund policies
  • Returns process
  • Delivery timelines

This helps Dave generate accurate and consistent responses in campaigns and community interactions.


Documents

Upload supporting materials such as:

  • Product documentation
  • Brand guidelines
  • Sales materials
  • Technical documentation

These files give Dave deeper context about your business and products.


Products

Products, collections, and discounts are automatically synced from Shopify during onboarding.

  • Sync continues automatically
  • New products added in Shopify are reflected in TNL
  • Dave learns from updated product data

No manual action is required in this tab.


Best Practices

  • Fully complete the Company Info tab first.
  • Keep tone of voice aligned with your brand.
  • Update FAQs as policies change.
  • Upload detailed brand documentation when available.
  • Review training periodically as your business evolves.
